Amrit Purewal - Co-Founder/Physiotherapist

Amrit Purewal

Amrit received his Master of Physical Therapy Degree from University of British Columbia and holds a Bachelors of Science with distinction in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University. He believes strongly in being a life long learner and is continuing to acquire new skills and knowledge by pursuing post graduate courses in Manual Therapy and the Sports Physiotherapy Canada Diploma Program. He has completed courses in Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS), Advanced Manual Therapy techniques (Canadian Orthopaedic Division, Evidence in Motion) and is licensed to prescribe orthotics.

Amrit is born and raised in the lower mainland and has participated in competitive team sports his entire life. Growing up in New Westminster, he was apart of the New Westminster Royals top tier ice hockey team, competing and winning numerous provincial tournaments. Currently, Amrit plays competitive Ball hockey and has been apart of Provincial, National and World Ball Hockey tournaments. As a result, Amrit is no stranger to injury and rehab and draws on his knowledge and personal experience to provide injury rehab.

Amrits utilizes an evidence based practice approach to provide optimal rehab to all clients. His treatment approach is focused on a detailed subjective history and biomechanical assessment to understand the root cause of the problem and develop an efficient and effective treatment plan.
